Unzicker ends Memorial Day weekend with a pair MARS top fives
Fresh off a pair of podium finishes the previous weekend, Ryan Unzicker kicked off his Memorial Day weekend on Friday by rejoining the MARS Late Model Championship Series at Tri-City Speedway.
With Friday’s race designated as a non-points event, Unzicker completed just one lap of the feature before pulling off.
On Saturday, Unzicker returned to Fairbury Speedway for the FALS Triple Down Shootout. After finishing second in his heat, he charged from 10th to fourth in the 40-lap main event.
He wrapped up the weekend on Sunday with a third-place finish in the $5,000-to-win finale, capping a strong holiday weekend performance.
Unzicker is currently second in the latest MARS point standings
