Unzicker finishes second in Richard Craven Memorial at FALS

Ryan Unzicker made a surprise appearance at Fairbury Speedway over the weekend as the Illinois quarter-mile hosted the Richard Craven Memorial.

After earning a heat race victory to secure his spot in the $5,012-to-win A-Main, Unzicker grabbed the lead on lap five and remained a threat throughout the 40-lap feature. In the closing laps, he mounted a late-race charge around the cushion, nearly overtaking McKay Wenger on the final circuit. Unzicker came up just 0.110 seconds short at the line, settling for a runner-up finish.
