Unzicker battles with LOLMDS at Farmer City and Fairbury

After Mother Nature washed out Wednesday’s and Thursday’s Castrol FloRacing Night in America events, Ryan Unzicker was one of 55 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) entries amassed at Farmer City Raceway (Farmer City, Ill.) on Friday evening for the Farmer City 74.

With a sixth-place showing in his heat race relegating him into a B-Main for another shot at the $25,000-to-win opener, Unzicker came one spot shot of a transfer position with a sixth-to-third run.

For the FALS Spring Shootout on Saturday at Fairbury Speedway (Fairbury, Ill.), Unzicker got buried in his time trial session and was never able to recover. He came in seventh in his heat before pulling off on lap 10 of his B-Main.
