Ryan Unzicker Rules Garry Swibold Memorial at Peoria Speedway

Captures Fourth Career Victory, Banks $5,098

EL PASO, Ill. (April 27, 2026) — Ryan Unzicker and Peoria Speedway. That’s it.

The El Paso, Illinois native’s dominance at the Illinois oval roughly 50 minutes from his shop continued this past weekend as he claimed his fourth straight Garry Swibold Memorial.

After the 2025 version saw Unzicker advance 13 positions to secure the win, he drove to a less demanding victory on Saturday night–leading the final 13 laps to secure his first win of the season.

"I made some changes tonight that would’ve only worked in the rough and it paid off. I just can’t thank my crew enough," Unzicker said in victory lane. "It’s been a hard year already, just a lot of work things going on and fighting two cars, getting (son Brody) running. Just can’t thank my crew and my sponsors enough.”

Unzicker’s doubleheader weekend across Illinois began Friday with a trip south to Brownstown Bullring for the Seivers JCB Diggin’ Dirt 40. He transferred into the feature through his heat race and rebounded from a lap-nine incident to finish fifth.

Returning to central Illinois on Saturday, Unzicker set his sights on a fourth straight Garry Swibold Memorial—and delivered, scoring the $5,098 victory.

The win marked the 17th MARS Racing Series triumph of his career and vaulted him to the top of the latest point standings.
